About me
A Malaysian educator, eighteen years in the classroom
I have taught Mathematics for eighteen years across Malaysia and the United Kingdom, and ten of those years were spent teaching A-level Mathematics. My work spans GCSE, IGCSE, Additional Mathematics, A-level and Further Mathematics, and I plan and deliver every lesson and resource myself.
MATHS MOTION is my personal educational practice, not an agency or a school. Each worksheet and worked solution is written by me, so students can follow the reasoning step by step.
My method
Three pillars of how I teach
Every lesson rests on the same three commitments, whether a student is preparing for GCSE or for Further Mathematics.
Pillar one
Rigorous algebraic derivation
I build each result from first principles so students understand why a method works, not only how to apply it.
Pillar two
Clear worked solutions
My worked solutions show every step, so students can follow the reasoning and check their own working with confidence.
Pillar three
Structured diagnostic review
I review each student's errors in a structured way, identifying the gaps behind a mistake and planning what to revisit next.
Teaching across borders
What teaching in two countries has taught me
Teaching in Malaysia and the United Kingdom has shown me that students arrive with different habits, expectations and routes into Mathematics. I have learned to listen first, then build a plan around where each learner actually stands.
That experience shapes my approach to both struggling pupils and accelerated learners. Some need patient rebuilding of foundations; others need depth and challenge. In both cases I aim for conceptual understanding that holds up under examination conditions.
