My journey

From the Malaysian classroom to the British curriculum

I began teaching Mathematics in Malaysia, where I spent the early years learning how to explain a method clearly to students at every level. Those classrooms taught me that a correct answer matters far less than the reasoning that leads to it.

Over time my work moved into the British secondary curriculum, covering GCSE, IGCSE and Additional Mathematics. This transition shaped how I plan lessons, write worked solutions and structure each topic so that students can follow every step.

Key phases

Three stages of my teaching path

01

Foundation classroom teaching

Early classroom teaching in Malaysia, building the habit of patient, step-by-step explanation across a range of ability levels.

02

A-level focus in the UK

Ten years dedicated to A-level Mathematics, refining my attention to foundational logic and examination technique.

03

Founding Maths Motion

Bringing classroom practice together with independent curriculum development and personal tuition under one educator-led brand.

A teaching reflection

Confidence in Mathematics is built one patient step at a time, not by rushing towards the final answer.— Maths Motion
